Handmade Sword
If I started making swords by hand and tried to sell one, how much would it be worth?
I want to build a smith shop but I do not know if it is worth building because I've looked at almost all of the net to find out how much a handmade weapon, (swords, shields and armor) would sell for. Does anyone know?
It depends on the quality of the swords. If they are of poor quality they are probably they are not going to be worth much. In the US I normally see good quality hand made swords sell between $200-$500 depending on the maker and detail. If the sword has been expertly hand folded using traditional methods it can sell for thousands. Armor prices also depend a lot on the detail and quality of the work. I have seen hand made helmets go from anywhere from $150 to a few thousand dollars. Leggings, breastplates, gauntlets ect.. can all sell for a lot depending upon the detail. A simple breast plate can also sell for $200-$500. One that that is double sided moving joints can sell sell for many times that. It all depends on quality and complexity. If you are looking for more specific price ideas I recommend looking online to see what other people are selling things for.
